Randomness

Wait......What.....29 bucks to fill the tank....that can't be where it's stopping. It's been almost 24 hours and I'm still overjoyed. We have 3 vehicles that we use regularly. Our kids are involved in many activities and most of the time Chris and I have to be in different places at the same time so we have two little "gas-getters" a Camry and a Saturn the dreaded "gas-guzzler" aka an SUV don't get me wrong I love my Durango, when we need to go anywhere all together it's a MUST and it's a BEAST in the snow (which in Utah is a must). Since we live 45 miles away from any BIG city we drive the little cars a lot. I usually drive the Camry but since Chris car-pulls with 3 other men he has decided to take it when it's his week to drive. So when I filled up the Saturn yesterday I felt like I really hit the lottery I got such an adrenalin rush and randomly throughout the day I smiled just thinking about it. I know it's only 11 gallon tank but still.

Forever Memories~

Kids say and do the funniest things. I have a hard time remembering all the fun things that happen during the day. Ang is growing up so fast over the last couple weeks it's like her vocab has expanded 200 words, because of that we've been having some detailed conversations.

Just today 1-17-13 she was sitting on the couch and
she said "Mom I have a boy in my class his name is Breck, he's very funny and laughs all the time"
Me- "Oh ya, is he your boyfriend?"
Ang- "No, he's just funny"
Me- "Oh but he's not your boyfriend"
Ang- with a huge smile "Nope and I'm bored of talking about this"
Me- "When I was little I had a boyfriend named Breck-he was my first boyfriend" (true story)
Ang- smiling even bigger "Okay.....he's my boyfriend"

Later that night-
Me- teasing her I said "it's bedtime have sweet dreams about Breck"
Ang- "I'm NOT, I'm having sweet dreams about UTES!"

Thata' girl, school before boys always! GO UTES!!

The kids that always has something off the wall to say is Gage oh man I could seriously write a book on his witty comments. He's defiantly his fathers child.
This was a conversation yesterday....

Me- "Gage you need to get that homework done"
Gage- "nope, it's already done"
Me- "no it's not, bring it hear and let me see it"
Gage- "why?"
Me- "I need to check it" he brings me a half finished paper. I say-"hey this isn't finished, you didn't do anything while you've been sitting here!"
Gage- with a deep stare "uh, all I hear is blah, blah, blah"

At the time I didn't find it funny at all but now I have to admit I'm smiling a little as I write this.

To Be a Better ME!!

I have been fighting depression for a few years now. I totally hate to admit it, but here I am and there it is...I totally know why too.  I have a lot of weight to lose to get down to my comfortable weight which I haven't been in 7 years, I got close 17 lbs away but not quite there. Up until now I've made up excuses, first it was the the bed rest with Pregnancy, then it was lack of time and health issues!! I'm done with excuses done, done, done!!! I'm tired of thinking about my weight every hour of everyday!!

I hate that I've let myself get this way, I studied health and nutrition in college and I've been though the weight loss process before. After I had Damien I lost 50 lbs with weight watchers and walking and power 90. I had never felt better. I walked around knowing I was doing everything possible to stay in shape. When people would ask me what motivated me my response was "If I don't take care of myself Chris will find someone else that does" It sounds bad but that's what would keep me going that's what made me push towards my goal. I remember walking around so confident nothing bothered me at all!!! I was in such a peaceful place, I'm yearning for that feeling again!!!

I have recently started high intensity interval training and I have been counting calories. Realizing that my body is in severe starvation Mode from only eating 600-800 calories a day of carbs. sugar, more carbs. and more sugar. Counting calories hasn't really been that hard I've been using www.myfitnesspal.com this website is great!!! This website has every type of food your looking for. It keeps track of the exercise and everything. You can request friends, It's kind of like facebook with updates, and you can see their food diaries if they have it viewable. I was going to start weight watcher's online for 15.00 a month. I'm so glad I found this app on my Droid Phone I LOVE IT and *** It's FREEE***

With taking my Xyng, I never feel like I'm going without food and the Xyng makes it so I don't crave sweets so it's working out great!! I can't wait till Monday when I can weight in and see my little ticker chart go down!!!

While the Mom is Away

While the Cat's away the mice will play. Well more like Mom and dog but still...

Today I was sorting laundry in my bedroom and halfway through I had to leave to get dinner made and when I left Chopper (my BIG dog) was in the bedroom. About an hour later I tried to walk into my room and I couldn't get in  ??? I pushed the door and to my surprise there was something blocking it. I reached around the door and the pile of clothes I had just sorted were blocking the door, so I moved them out of the way and opened the door and there was Chopper starring right at me with his head what I call the "I just caused trouble and I hope she doesn't notice" position IE THE LOOK OF SHAME!!

Anyway I look over at my bed and could totally tell he had just jumped off of it. What a little stinker, he had barricaded the door so he would have time to get off the bed so I wouldn't notice!!! I think I was in too much of shock and awe to get mad at him. He literally pushed a load of clothes 4 feet. Although I had to change the sheets it was nothing compared to the big pile of crap ON OUR BED that we came home to after a week in Disneyland. My little Brother was dog sitting and the last day he came to pick us up from the airport and the last thing he said to Chopper was "I'm going to get your family" so Chopper must have thought "I'm going to show them for not taking me, here's this steaming pile of crap!!"  This dog literally thinks he is a human and no different than the kids!!! Like he should be with us everywhere we go!!!

I LoVe my Chiro!!!

Oh wow we have had a crazy week!! As bad as I hate to talk about it we have come down with the "CRUD" It started about 2 weeks ago and Gage started coughing, it always makes me a little nervous when he gets sick because he has asthma and he seems to catch pneumonia with every cold he gets. He missed that Monday of school, but he was OK to go back for the rest of the week. He finally stopped coughing 4 days ago! Well then last Monday Angelee came down with it. It has been her first cold in a long time almost two years!!! On Tuesday she was fevering about 104.0
I decided to take her in to the doc. but ended up at urgent care (never again) they were so rude. I was keeping her temp down with showers and rags about every 2 hours we got in and let the water run down her face to get the snot out. I slacked off for about 5 hours :( When I went to put her in and her little hands were cold and blotchy so I thought she needed to be seen. I get her there and they take her back doc looks in ONE ear and
doc says "yep ear infection, have you given her anything for her fever?"
ME "NO she's never had any Tylenol EVER"
doc "Well her temp is close to seizure"
ME "Well let's do something about that, do you have any Tylenol?" because no mother wants to put their       child in danger.
He literally walked out the room without saying anything to me and sent the m.a. in with some Tylenol.
That was it.....I walked out with a prescription and that was it....... As I walked past him he says "that ear will most likely rupture by the end of the day."
As I walked out the door tears came to my eyes, that was the most awful experience I've EVER had with a doc. and the fact that I caved and gave her Tylenol when I know that fevers are a good thing it's the bodies way of boosting the immune system. I could go on and on about fevers. I also know that febrile seizures are not that common and when they do seizure it's not a big deal.
Any way as I left I passed our chiropractor's office and thought "well he helped her chronic ear infections 2 years ago MAYBE he could do something this time." I walked in and they got her back right away.
The Doctor came in and he adjusted her picked her up and he listened to me cry about the Tylenol and he said "well I usually go by the 4-5 day rule if their not showing significant improvement,  take other measures, that gives the body time to recognize the problem and approach it how it is meant to."
I love this guy!!!! The entire time he's talking to me he is cradling Ang. it was about 15 min of him reassuring me that that she's going to be fine. I was beating myself up pretty bad about the Tylenol,
he said "hun you are doing better than about 99% of parents out there, you are making her body take action and building her immune system"  Man I left there feeling so confident it was totally different then leaving the urgent care, beaten down!
Well I know what herbs to treat ear infections with naturally the best is chiropractic because it aligns everything so the tubes can drain. I had felt like she needed to get adjusted for a few months, it had been about 2 years.
Anyway by Thursday totally different kid. Mom didn't slack on the showers and she's doing great!!!
Then I get sick on Friday!! On Sat. I thought for sure I was going to end up in the hospital for asthma. My treatments were lasting 1-2 hours instead of 4hrs. I had a migraine from all the albuterol, I toughed it out till Monday and went to the Chiro and by the end of the night Monday I was about 70% which was a huge improvement from about 30% over the weekend, Tuesday about 90% Now it's Thursday and I've only had 1 treatment since Monday night!!!
OH YA!! He he said "bring her in on Friday let me see how she's doing, and don't bring a check"
This is the third time he's adjusted the kids for no charge. WHAT DOCTOR DOES THAT!!! HE IS SO GREAT!!!

Angelee is 3!!

Coming home from the hospital

Three years ago today our family was blessed with a beautiful angel. Angelee Kayelynn Dyson born November 20, 2007. We were ready to have another little rug-rat running around with Gage-Rage almost four and and FINALLY getting a little easier. We found out 2 days after we returned home from Mexico. The pregnancy was great, even at the end. When I delivered my beautiful baby girl it was an amazing experience the birth went so smoothly and the recovery was super fast and easy. We didn't know what the sex of the baby was, so we had a few names picked out. We chose the name Angelee because we wanted something angelic like Trinity which means Holy Angel. We chose Kayelynn after Mom's Cousin Lindsay Kaye, who was a big part in having such wonderful delivery. She was Mom's Douala which is someone who helps with the delivery by giving the mother support and encouragement towards a goal of having a natural birth.

Angelee you have had the most beautiful blue eyes since you were born. You are so smart and strong. You were holding your head up by yourself at two hours old. I remember you had some HUGE feet. Our friends The Holdbrooks brought you some little newborn shoes in the hospital and they were about an inch too small for your ski-feet!!

Your blessing day!

4 months old

Enjoying your 1st BiRtHDaY cAKe!!!

You have always been one step ahead with everything from talking to potty training. I hope that continues throughout life and you always excel. I love that you are so creative and love to draw and can be entertained for hours upon hours with a box of books or a pen and paper. You are so “happy go lucky” a quality you got from your Father. You are so kind and giving but still strong enough to stand your ground when needed.

YUMMY!!!
